Armenia, Russia interested in boosting mutual tourist flows

ArmInfo. Armenia and Russia  have expressed a shared interest in boosting tourism between the two  countries. This became known following the meeting of Minister of  Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov with  the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, and the head of  the RA Tourism Committee, Lusine Gevorgyan.

As reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Economic  Development, Maxim Reshetnikov noted that increasing the volume of  mutual tourist flows could serve as an incentive for enhancing  Russian- Armenian collaboration. In this regard, he recalled that  during the recently opened tourism exhibition in Moscow - MITT 2025  -, Russia's Deputy Economy Minister Dmitry Vakhrukov and Chairperson  of the Tourism Committee of Armenia, Lusine Gevorgyan, discussed in  detail the plans for  implementing the signed back in June  2023.

 Reshetnikov said.  Note that according to the   RA Statistical Committee, 937,823 tourists from the Russian  Federation visited Armenia in 2024, which is 17.5% lower than the  previous year's figure.
