ArmInfo.The Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) of Armenia has banned the acquisition of a 100% stake in MTS Armenia by Fedilco Group Limited.
According to the press service of the regulator, MTS Armenia CJSC and Fedilco Group Limited, registered in Cyprus, applied to the CPC on January 26, 2023, stating that Fedilco Group Limited intends to acquire a 100% stake in MTS Armenia CJSC.
"A study was conducted within the framework of the centralization assessment procedure that was launched on the basis of these applications, as a result of which the CPC, by its decision of April 18, 2023, prohibited the centralization of MTS Armenia CJSC and Fedilco Group Limited", the statement says.
