YOY growth rates of Armenia`s communications sector`s revenue slowed  down in Jan-Feb 2020 

ArmInfo. Revenue of Armenia's communication sector in January- February 2020, amounted to 23.2 billion drams ($ 48.5 million), and the y-o-y growth slowed from  2.5% to 0.5%. According to the RA Statistical Committee, the lion's  share of the total revenue was provided by the telecommunications  sector - 90% or 20.9 billion drams, which was reduced by 0.6%  (compared to a 1.5% decline last year).

According to statistics, for February 2020 alone, the total revenue of  the communications sector amounted to 11.3 billion drams, decreasing  by 3.9% per annum. At the same time, the telecommunications sector  generated revenue of 10.3 billion drams in February, demonstrating a  y-o-y decline of 2.2%.

As a comparison, we note that in January-February 2019, revenues of  the communications sector of Armenia amounted to 23.1 billion drams.  Of the total proceeds, 21.1 billion drams came from the  telecommunications sector.

The average calculated rate of the dram in January-February 2020 was  478.98 dr / $ 1, and in February 2020 - 478.74 dr / $ 1, against  487.10 dr / $ 1 - in January-February 2019 and 488.41 dr / $ 1 - in  February 2019.
