ArmInfo.  The International Business Relations Council (IBRC) has signed a  memorandum of cooperation with a European insurance company to assist  Armenian businesses in avoiding financial risks. ArmInfo.  RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan has commented on the World Bank's B-READY 2025 report, according to which Armenia received an overall score of  66.7. This score is 6.6 points higher than the average score of the  101 countries included in the assessment.

ArmInfo.  The net flow of total foreign investment into the real sector of Armenia's economy decreased threefold in January-September 2025 compared to the same  period in 2024. It dropped from a positive $246 million (95.2 billion  drams) to a negative $221 million (84.5 billion drams).

ArmInfo. In 2026, all of the Ministry of Economy's priorities will be aligned with the  peace agenda, as stated by  Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan during  a working meeting to assess the past year's results and set program  priorities for the upcoming period.

ArmInfo.  Armenia desires to become a full member of the European Union and will remain in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) until compatibility issues arise.  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this on January 14 on  the sidelines of the 15th Security Forum "Armenia and the World at  the Crossroads of Risks and Opportunities."

This was stated by Deputy Finance Minister Avag  Avanesyan on January 14 at a meeting of the National Assembly  Committee on Economic Affairs, where he presented amendments to the  Law on Procurement and a package of related laws in the first  reading.

ArmInfo.The World Bank (WB) expects global economic growth to reach 2.6% in 2026 and 2.7% in 2027, according to its December Global Economic Prospects report. In June 2025, the bank projected GDP growth of 2.4% in 2026 and 2.6% the following year.

ArmInfo. Armenia plans to establish rules for calculating and paying VAT in transactions involving the supply of goods to individuals through EAEU electronic platforms. At its January 14 meeting, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia's Committee on Economic Affairs issued a positive  opinion on the amendments to the Tax Code submitted by the RA government.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, state-cofinanced programs will not be subject to profit tax from the year the financial resources are received, but will be assessed as  assets in constructed buildings and infrastructure. At its January 14 meeting, the National Assembly's Committee on Economic Affairs approved the government-submitted amendments to the Tax Code.
