Tigran Khachatryan: In 2020, the number of tourists arriving in  Armenia will not yield to 2019 indicators

According to the results of 9 months of 2019, a 14.4% increase in the flow of tourists was registered in Armenia, which was largely ensured by tourist  visits from countries where the average growth of tourists was fixed  at 30-40%. The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Tigran  Khachatryan announced this at a press conference on January 14.

By December 1, 2019, the public debt of Armenia reached $ 7.2 billion (3.4 trillion drams), slightly slowing y-o-y growth - from 6.3% to 5.8%, due to a  slowdown in external debt growth to 3.7% and a continuing relatively  high growth in domestic debt - 7.1% (versus 5.9% and 7.7% growth,  respectively, a year earlier). This is happening against the backdrop  of accelerating growth in economic activity in January-November 2019  to 7.5% per annum from 5.7% in January-November 2018.

ArmInfo.  "The issue of deciding whether any airline can start its activity in Armenia or not should be considered by the Civil Aviation Committee within 90 days."  Tatevik Revazyan, head of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia  stated, answering to the question by ArmInfo correspondent about at  what stage is the process with the emergence of the local national  air carrier in the country. Revazyan stressed that this is a new  airline. "Representatives of this airline have already submitted an  application, which we, according to the law, must consider within 90  days. And this period begins from the very moment we have all the  necessary documents. However, at the moment we have not complete a  package of documents, and we can't make a decision on this issue.  Therefore, I can't say when we can make an appropriate decision,  "said the head of the State Administration of Civil Aviation.

SRC: Fines for violations related to the issuance of cash receipts at  the end of 2019 amounted to about 1.5 billion drams

ArmInfo. Over the 10 months of 2019, the outflow of transfers of individuals increased by 24% per annum - to $ 1.2 billion, with an increase in inflows by only 8.8% -  to $ 1.6 billion. According to the Central Bank of Armenia, this  reduced the net inflow in y-o-y terms by 20.1% - up to $ 403.5  million.
