ArmInfo. Changes initiated by the SRC in the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia (RA Tax Code) provide for tax benefits for repatriates, namely exemption from  customs duties of their imported property upon return to their  homeland.

ArmInfo. Armenia intends to improve its performance by five positions in the World Bank's Doing Business ranking in terms of attracting loans. At its meeting on  January 20, the RA National Assembly discussed in the first reading  amendments to the Civil Code and the Law on registration of rights to  movable property.

ArmInfo. Armenia is negotiating with Gazprom subsidiary "Gazprom" to develop fixed-pricing mechanisms for gas for a period of 10 years in case the  company declares a tariff increase. ArmInfo.  In the currency interbank of Armenia for the first 8 working days of 2020 (for January 8-10 and 13-17), a total of $ 31.6 million transactions were  made, which exceeds the volumes of the same period a year ago ($  21.079 million for 8-11 and 14- January 18, 2019).

ArmInfo. Subsidizing programs for the development of the social and economic  infrastructure of the Armenian communities provides for the  application of effective and modern solutions. Deputy Prime Minister  Tigran Avinyan announced this at the first meeting of the interagency  subsidy assessment committee this year.

ArmInfo.Armenia will join the Marrakesh agreement on facilitating access for the blind and people with disabilities to print information. At the meeting of  January 16, the RA Government approved the draft of the relevant law,  which will be submitted for ratification to the National Assembly in  the established manner.

ArmInfo. Rating-Agentur Expert RA confirmed the  sovereign government credit rating (SGC) of Armenia at 'BB-'  (Sufficient level of creditworthiness of the government) in national  currency and at 'BB-' (Sufficient level of creditworthiness of the  government) in foreign currency.

ArmInfo.HSBC has announced the appointment of Irina Seylanyan as Chief Executive Officer Designate of HSBC Bank Armenia cjsc, with effect from 2 March 2020. The appointment is subject to regulatory registration. Irina succeeds Paul Edgar, who will take up a new role outside HSBC Armenia.
