ArmInfo.  The Central Bank of Armenia announced the final withdrawal of this year's second- generation banknotes from circulation. According to a press release from the central bank, after April 15, 2026, citizens will be able to exchange all  second-generation banknotes free of charge at commercial banks  operating in the Republic of Armenia and at the Central Bank without  any restrictions.

ArmInfo. The burden of the trade tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump in 2025 falls almost entirely on Americans, according to a new study by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

ArmInfo.  Starting July 7, Wizz Air will begin flights from the capital of Armenia to the Greek island of Rhodes. This was announced by Armenia International  Airports CJSC.

ArmInfo. When implementing the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) project, Armenia should consider global factors rather than focusing  on a specific section of the railway bordering Iran. Gagik  Aghajanyan, executive director of Apaven, one of Armenia's largest  transport and logistics companies, expressed a similar view in an  interview with an ArmInfo correspondent.

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, state-cofinanced programs will not be subject to profit tax, but will  be assessed as assets in constructed buildings and infrastructure.  The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia adopted amendments  to the Tax Code in the first reading at its plenary session on  January 20.

ArmInfo. By December 31, 2025, Armenia's public debt had increased by approximately $1.7 billion, or 13.1%, to $14.531 billion compared to the end of December 2024. At  the end of December 2017, Armenia's total public debt was $6.774  billion, and by the time Nikol Pashinyan's government was formed, at  the end of April 2018, this figure was at $6.867 billion.

ArmInfo. Armenia and Egypt are considering the signing of a memorandum of cooperation to regulate labor mobility, as reported by the press service of the  Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, citing the outcomes of a  meeting between the head of the ministry, Arsen Torosyan, and the  Egyptian Ambassador to Armenia, Amal Afifi. The discussions focused  on  several issues, including the protection of labor rights and  procedures for entering the Armenian labor market.

ArmInfo. The Armenian real estate market experienced a notable downturn in 2025, with the total number of transactions falling by approximately 3,800 compared to the  previous year. The decline was most pronounced in the primary housing  market, according to data shared by Suren Tovmasyan, Chairman of the  RA Cadastre Committee, during a press conference on January 19.

ArmInfo. Armenia plans to introduce a reverse mortgage institute - a financial  mechanism designed to allow pensioner to monetize their real estate holdings.   Suren Tovmasyan, Chairman of the RA Cadastre Committee, announced  this initiative during a press conference on January 19.
