ArmInfo. In February 2026, annual inflation in Armenia's consumer market accelerated to 4.3% (from 2.5% the previous year). This was driven by a 6.9% increase in food prices and a 3.2% increase in service tariffs, along with a slight 0.9% increase in non-food prices.

According to the latest data from the RA Statistics Committee, the main drivers of annual growth were the  construction, energy, and industrial sectors, while the services sector made a modest contribution and the trade sector had a negligible impact.

According to data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the growth was fueled by an uptick in the  production of  copper concentrate, as well as improved dynamics in the production of all metals in Armenia, excluding  ferromolybdenum.

ArmInfo. In the Armenian foreign exchange currency market, from March 2-6, 2026, there was a  noticeable shift in currency transactions: dollar transactions  decreased, ruble transactions declined at a faster rate, and euro transactions ceased to be conducted again. Specifically, the trend in dollar transactions shifted from a significant 2.6-fold increase to a 35% decline.

According to data from the RA Statistics Committee, in January 2026, the industry's annual decline increased from 41.3% to 56.7%, reaching 229.5 billion  drams. This trend was driven by a decline in the mining sector and an accelerated decline in manufacturing.
