ArmInfo.The Ombudsman of Armenia appealed to the Constitutional Court in view of the fact that the Tax Code does not provide for a flexible mechanism for imposing  fines for violation of the rules for the use of cash registers (CMC),  but establishes fixed amounts of fines without taking into account  the circumstances of a particular offense. ArmInfo. The trade sector of Armenia in January-October 2020 showed a decline of 12.5% (against 8.9% growth a year earlier), providing a turnover of 2.3 trillion.  drams ($ 4.7 billion). And only in October 2020, the trade turnover  in Armenia decreased by 13.4% (against a 1.7% decline in the previous  year), amounting to 234.3 billion drams ($ 476.4 million).

In Armenia, the service sector reduced volumes in January-October 2020. to the same period of 2019. by 12.8% (against growth by 15.1% a year earlier) to  1.413 trillion. drams ($ 2.9 billion). In October alone, a 2.9%  decline was recorded, with the provision of 147.5 billion drams ($  299.9 million).

ArmInfo. Revenue in the communication sector of Armenia in January-October 2020 amounted to 118.2 billion drams, having decreased by 3.1% in y-o-y terms (against  growth by 1.1% a year earlier). According to the RA Statistical  Committee, the dominant telecommunications segment (90.7%) provided  revenues of 107.1 billion drams, accelerating the y-o-y decline from  2.6% to 2.8%.

ArmInfo.The volume of cargo transportation in Armenia in January-October 2020 to the same period in 2019 increased by 3.5% (against a decline of 51.1% a year  earlier), to 12,271.5 thousand tons. Of these, 8,086.8 thousand tons  (65.7% of the total) accounted for road transportation, which  increased by 3.7% in y-o-y terms. This is evidenced by the data of  the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.In January-October 2020, the production of alcoholic beverages in Armenia, with the exception of champagne, continues to subside since the outbreak of  the coronavirus pandemic, while a year earlier, over the same period,  all lines of alcohol production demonstrated growth.

ArmInfo.The national debt of Armenia in October 2020 increased by 1.5%, after the September decline by 1.4%, which is due to the reversal of the dynamics of  domestic debt from 1.7% decline to 6.8% growth while the decline in  external debt slowed from 1.3% to 0.1%.

In Armenia, the production of aluminum foil for 10 months of 2020 increased by 14.6% per annum - up to 29,504 tons, against 4.2% growth a year earlier.   According to the Statistics Committee of Armenia, in October alone,  the production of aluminum foil increased by 4.1% - up to 3,054 tons.

ArmInfo.Industrial production in Armenia in January-October 2020 slowed down the y-o-y growth rate from 8.8% to 0.5%, amounting to 1.627 trillion drams ($  3.3 billion). A significant slowdown in the growth of industrial  production is due to the continuing decline in the manufacturing  industry. According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of  Armenia, only in October 2020, industrial production increased its  volumes by 3.2%, ensuring the volume of 194.7 billion drams ($ 396.1  million).

ArmInfo. Electricity generation in Armenia in January- October 2020 increased by 1.7%, amounting to 6 357.9 million kWh. (against a decline of 2.7% a year  earlier). At the same time, in October alone, generation decreased by  1.8% to 620.9 million kWh.  

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the decline in economic activity in January- October 2020 accelerated to 6.7% per annum, against the background of an accelerating decline in  imports and a slowdown in exports.
