ArmInfo. In Armenia, economic activity in H1 2021 increased by 5% per annum (against a 4.7% decline a year earlier), which is accompanied by an increase in exports and a rise in imports. In June of this year. by June 2020, economic  activity increased by 8% (against a decline of 12.8% a year earlier),  while in June 2021 alone it accelerated growth to 12% from May 2%  (against a less noticeable acceleration of growth in May 2020 from  13.3 % to 14.8%).

ArmInfo.In the first 6 months of 2021, 169 economic entities submitted applications for obtaining a certificate of a law-abiding taxpayer to the State Revenue Committee  (SRC) of Armenia, 111 of them were satisfied. The certificate of a  law-abiding taxpayer is issued for a period of 1 year.

ArmInfo.The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia has published a list of 1000 large taxpayers of the country, who in the first half of this year paid a  total of more than 584 billion 440 million AMD (about 1.2 billion US  dollars) to the state budget.  In particular, from January to June  2021, the amount of payments to the tax authority amounted to 494  billion 334 million drams, and to the customs authority - over 90  billion 105 million drams.

ArmInfo.. The banking system in Armenia is sound and  well-regulated, but the financial sector is not highly developed,  according to investors. Banking sector assets account for over 80  percent of total financial sector assets. This is stated in the  published report of the US State Department on the investment climate  in Armenia for 2021.

ArmInfo. The updated RA Law "On Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism" will enter into force on July 26 this year. ArmInfo was informed about this in  the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia, explaining that the  law on amendments and additions to the Law on Combating Money  Laundering and Financing of Terrorism was fully adopted on June 30 at  an extraordinary session of the RA National Assembly, and published  on July 16 this year.

In y-o-y  terms regional transactions for the purchase and sale of real estate  increased by 13.1%, and in June alone increased by 7.8%.

ArmInfo. In June 2021, there were 1,498 transactions for the purchase and sale of real estate in Yerevan, which is 48% higher than a year ago, with an increase of  13.9% per month. This is evidenced by the data of the State Committee  of the Real Estate Cadastre.  At the same time, the highest  percentage of transactions fell on the administrative region of  Arabkir - 17.4%, and the lowest - in Nubarashen (0.5%).
