ArmInfo. The volume of cargo transportation in Armenia in January-July 2021 accelerated the y-o-y growth to 15.5% (from 3.4% a year earlier), amounting to  8,946.2 thousand tons. Of these, 67.8% or 6,073.1 thousand tons are  accounted for by road transport with a y-o-y growth of 27.2%.

ArmInfo. Russia and China remain the main foreign trade partners of Armenia. According to the final data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia,  the leadership in Armenia's foreign trade turnover is held by Russia  with a volume of $ 1.3 billion in January-July 2021, with the change  of the y-o-y dynamics from 3.3% decline to 18.4% growth.

ArmInfo.. The RA Ministry of Finance, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and the Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA) signed a tripartite Memorandum of  Understanding. The document was signed by RA Finance Minister Tigran  Khachatryan, EDB Management Board Chairman Nikolay Podguzov and ACRA  Agency General Director Mikhail Sukhov.

ArmInfo.Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January-July 2021 amounted to $ 4.3 billion, with an improvement in y-o-y dynamics to 15.1% growth (from an 11.3%  decline a year earlier).

ArmInfo.The financial agreement between the RA and the German Development Bank KfW provides for the provision of loans in the amount of more than 110 million  euros.  On September 6, the Armenian government approved by a  "written vote" the proposal to sign an agreement "On financial  cooperation for 2020 between the government of the Republic of  Armenia and the government of the Federal Republic of Germany."

ArmInfo.Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan met with the Regional Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and  Development (EBRD) in the Caucasus, Moldova and Belarus Catarina  Bjorlin Hansen. ArmInfo. Metallurgical industry of Armenia in January-July 2021 increased production volumes by 22.9% (against growth by 13.2% a year earlier). This is evidenced  by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.In January-July 2021, Armenia generated 4,454.1 million kWh.  electricity, which is higher than a year ago by 0.1% (against growth by 3.4% a year  earlier). According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of  Armenia, in July alone, electricity generation increased by 23.5% -  up to 632.1 million kWh.

ArmInfo.In Armenia, the production of aluminum foil in January-July 2021 compared to the same period in 2020 decreased by 4% (against 13.1% growth a year earlier),  amounting to 19.688 thousand tons.  This is evidenced by the data of  the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.In Armenia, fees on travel insurance reached a significant 70% growth in the first half of 2021 (from a significant 46.4% decline a year earlier), reaching a  volume of 235.9 million drams ($ 475.8 thousand). Such growth,  associated with some activation of outbound tourism, allowed not only  to approach the volume of two years ago, but also to return the 1%  share of travel insurance in the total portfolio of premiums.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, economic activity in January-July 2021 increased by 5.3% per annum (against a 5.7% decline a year earlier), accompanied by an accelerated growth in  exports and imports. In July of this year by July 2020, economic  activity increased by 6.2% (against a decline of 10.2% a year  earlier), while in July 2021 alone it slowed down to 7.5% from June  12%, which was also observed in July 2020 - to 9.4% from 14.8% in  June.

ArmInfo.The volume of industrial production in Armenia in January- July 2021 accelerated the annual growth to 2.1% (from 1.3% a year earlier), exceeding 1.2  trillion drams ($ 2.3 billion). According to the Statistical  Committee of the Republic of Armenia, such a slight acceleration in  the growth of industrial production was due to a significant slowdown  in the growth of the mining industry, with a continuing downward  trend in the volume of the manufacturing industry.
