ArmInfo. The volume of cargo transportation in Armenia in January-July 2021 accelerated the y-o-y growth to 15.5% (from 3.4% a year earlier), amounting to  8,946.2 thousand tons. Of these, 67.8% or 6,073.1 thousand tons are  accounted for by road transport with a y-o-y growth of 27.2%.

According to the final data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia,  the leadership in Armenia's foreign trade turnover is held by Russia  with a volume of $ 1.3 billion in January-July 2021, with the change  of the y-o-y dynamics from 3.3% decline to 18.4% growth.

Solar Power plants provide significant generation growth in Armenia

According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of  Armenia, in July alone, electricity generation increased by 23.5% -  up to 632.1 million kWh.

FinRating ArmInfo: Travel insurance fees have grown, while  reimbursements remained in decline

ArmInfo.In Armenia, fees on travel insurance reached a significant 70% growth in the first half of 2021 (from a significant 46.4% decline a year earlier), reaching a  volume of 235.9 million drams ($ 475.8 thousand). Such growth,  associated with some activation of outbound tourism, allowed not only  to approach the volume of two years ago, but also to return the 1%  share of travel insurance in the total portfolio of premiums.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, economic activity in January-July 2021 increased by 5.3% per annum (against a 5.7% decline a year earlier), accompanied by an accelerated growth in  exports and imports. In July of this year by July 2020, economic  activity increased by 6.2% (against a decline of 10.2% a year  earlier), while in July 2021 alone it slowed down to 7.5% from June  12%, which was also observed in July 2020 - to 9.4% from 14.8% in  June.

Armenia`s industrial sector is growing very slowly

ArmInfo.The volume of industrial production in Armenia in January- July 2021 accelerated the annual growth to 2.1% (from 1.3% a year earlier), exceeding 1.2  trillion drams ($ 2.3 billion). According to the Statistical  Committee of the Republic of Armenia, such a slight acceleration in  the growth of industrial production was due to a significant slowdown  in the growth of the mining industry, with a continuing downward  trend in the volume of the manufacturing industry.
