ArmInfo.The Central Bank of Armenia so far refrains from introducing the maximum debt burden ratio due to the difficulties of accounting in the calculation of the  recorded and unaccounted income of a potential borrower. But  discussions continue and various kinds of calculations are carried  out to find the correct option for using this standard.

ArmInfo.The Central Bank of Armenia improved its forecast for GDP growth for 2021 to 4.6% (from the previously projected 1.4%). This was announced on June 15 at a  press conference timed to increase the refinancing rate from 6% to  6.5%, Central Bank Chairman Martin Galstyan said.

ArmInfo. In January-May 2021, Armenia's public debt increased by $ 848 million - up to $ 8,816 billion. To note, as of April 2018, that is, before the "Velvet  Revolution", the national debt was at $ 6,867 billion.

ArmInfo.In Armenia, the number of terminated CMTPL contracts continues to grow rapidly - 3.9 -fold in January-May 2021 compared to the same period a year ago, amounting to 19,500. And almost the same - the volume of returned or refundable  premiums increased by 3 times - up to 236.1 million drams ($ 453.4  thousand). This is evidenced by the data of the Bureau of Motor  Insurers of Armenia, according to which, in the reporting period, the  number of vehicles with MTPL policy decreased by 2.3%.

S&P Global Ratings revised the outlook on Ameriabank to stable from negative and affirmed 'B+/B' long- and short-term issuer credit rating on the  bank.  B+' long-term rating on Ameriabank is one notch lower than its  stand-alone credit profile (SACP) rated "bb-", due to the sovereign's  creditworthiness constraint, the press service of Ameriabank told  ArmInfo. 

ArmInfo.Armenia's gross international reserves increased in January- May 2021 by 15% or by $ 393 million, amounting to $ 3.009 billion, as evidenced by the data  of the Central Bank of Armenia. Of these, the lion's share - $ 2.973  billion - falls on foreign assets in hard currency, and the SDR share  in the IMF amounted to $ 35.7 million. According to the regulator's  report, in January-May of this year foreign assets in hard currency  increased by 14.1%, and the share of SDR in the IMF grew 4-fold.
