ArmInfo.For the construction of the Sisian-Kajaran section of the North-South highway, the European Union intends to allocate 600 million euros to Armenia. This  was announced to reporters today by the acting Minister of  Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia Suren  Papikyan during his visit to Shirak region to get acquainted with the  progress of construction work on the Talin-Gyumri section.

ArmInfo. In H1 2021, Armenia's gross international reserves increased by 18.7% or by $ 488.6 million, amounting to $ 3.104 billion, as evidenced by the data of  the Central Bank of Armenia. Of these, the lion's share - $ 3.091  billion - falls on foreign assets in hard currency, and the share of  SDR in the IMF amounted to $ 13.3 million. According to the  regulator's report, for H1 this year, foreign assets in hard currency  increased by 18.6%, while the share of SDR in the IMF increased by  48%.

According to the government's announcement, the meeting  participants discussed the medium-term program of public spending for  2022-2024, as well as the program to reduce the state debt for  2022-2026.

ArmInfo.The Armenian government decided to establish a state duty of 15% of the  international price for the issuance of licenses, permits and  certificates for the export of raw materials, in particular  ferromolybdenum, copper and molybdenum concentrate to third  countries, provided that international prices for the latter remain  high. The net inflow of transfers from individuals in January-May 2021, increased by 89% per annum (from a 23.4% decline a year earlier) - to $ 281.5 million,  which is largely supported by the continuing multiply increase in  remittances from the United States. ArmInfo.The high growth of the mortgage portfolio by June 2021 by 37.2% per annum to 544.2 billion drams ($ 1.05 billion) supported the loan portfolio of the Armenian  banking system in 6.4% growth, exceeding the absolute value of 3.6  trillion drams ($ 6.9 billion). The growth of mortgages increased its  share in the total loan portfolio of banks from 11.7% last year to  the current 15.1%. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Central  Bank.

ArmInfo.After a long time, passenger transportation in Armenia under the conditions of the coronacrisis, grew by 2.6% per annum in January-May 2021 (from a  49.2% decline a year earlier), amounting to 40,904.7 thousand people.  This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.Revenue in the communications sector of Armenia in January-May 2021 amounted to 58.1 billion drams ($ 111 million), with an increase of 3.2% per annum  (against a 4% decline a year earlier). This is evidenced by the data  of the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.In January-May 2021, the trade sector of Armenia with a volume of 1.187 trillion drams ($ 2.2 billion), grew by 7.4% per annum (from a 10.8% decline a year  earlier), slightly falling short of 9.4% growth in the same period of  2019. According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of  Armenia, the upward trend is due to the growth in retail and  wholesale trade, in parallel with which there is a noticeable  slowdown in the decline in car trade.

ArmInfo.In January-May 2021, the revenue of the service sector in Armenia grew only by 0.9% (from a 4.2% decline a year earlier), amounting to 703.1 billion drams ($  1.3 billion). According to the Statistics Committee,  for May  2021alone, the volume of services provided increased by 3.4%,  amounting to 152.1 billion drams ($ 291.7 million).

ArmInfo.The client base of banks in Armenia totaled 3.212.853 individuals and 107.351 legal entities by May 2021. This is evidenced by the data of the Central  Bank published in the report of the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.Converse Bank continues its card-to-card transfer campaign with Visa International Payment System in a different format. Within the framework of the campaign, until 31.07.2021 inclusively, 10 cardholders who made or received the highest number of card-to-card transfers using from VISA payment cards, including those issued outside Armenia, will receive 2 tickets to Yerevan Park.

ArmInfo. Armenia has already managed to export 105 thousand tons of agricultural products, which is 2 times more than a year ago. Deputy Minister of Economy Arman  Khojoyan announced this. In particular, he noted that out of the  total volume of exported agricultural products, 44 thousand tons are  fruits and berries, and 61 thousand tons are vegetables.
