population decline of 609 people was recorded in Armenia, while in
the same period of 2021 and 2020, a natural population increase of

ArmInfo. By April 1, 2022, the population of Armenia amounted to 2.961.6 million people, having decreased by 0.1% or 2.3 thousand people on a y-o-y terms. According to the data of the RA Statistical Committee, as of the reporting date, the urban population was 1.891.4 million people or 63.8% of the total number of citizens of Armenia, which is 0.2% lower than the indicator of a year ago. 1.070.2 million people lived in villages (36.2%) with a y-o-y growth of 0.2%.

debt burden from external debt has not changed much, having only

domestic debt it has increased from $653 to $916.

ArmInfo.This January-March, Russia remained leader in Armenia's foreign trade turnover, its share being $634.2mln - a 40.6% growth against an 8.1% decline last January- March. Russia also remained leader in Armenia's exports and imports,
with respective shares of $186.2 and $448.02. Exports showed a 23.3%
growth against 2% growth, with imports showing a 49.4% growth against
the 12.4% decline last January-March.
