Despite the skepticism of many regarding Armenia's ability to ensure the implementation of the revenue item of the state budget for 2023, it can be noted that in  the first quarter of this year, tax revenues to the state treasury  increased by 60.8 billion drams. This was stated by the Prime  Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on April 6 at a regular meeting  of the Cabinet.

ArmInfo. As a result of the stabilization of food prices, in the consumer market of Armenia in March 2023, compared to March 2022, inflation decreased to 5.4% (from  7.4% a year earlier). In Q1 2023 also, inflation was lower than last  year's quarterly level of 0.8% against 3.5%, which was also the  result of the stabilization of food prices and the reduction in the  cost of non-food products.

ArmInfo.The growth of the Armenian economy in 2023 will be 6.5%, followed by a slowdown in 2024 to 5.5%, depending on the factors of internal and external demand.  This is stated in the Asian Development Outlook of the Asian  Development Bank (ADB), on the economies of the Asia- Pacific region.    In particular, the report notes: "Despite headwinds, the economy grew  strongly in 2022 on rapid expansion in consumption and services  reflecting an influx of people and capital from the Russian  Federation. Fiscal and current account deficits narrowed, but  inflation accelerated. Growth is expected to moderate in 2023 and  2024 as stimulus from inflows of capital, people, and firms from the  Russian Federation wanes. Inflation is expected to moderate, and the  current account deficit to widen slightly. Strengthening education is  critical for inclusive and sustainable growth."

The loan agreement "Green, sustainable and inclusive  development policy" was signed at the Ministry of Finance of Armenia  between  Head of the Ministry of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan and  Country Manager of the World Bank for Armenia  Carolin Geginat.
