ArmInfo.At the invitation of Armenia's Food Safety Inspection Body, a delegation from the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) has arrived in the country. The delegation includes veterinary and phytosanitary specialists.

Consequently, Armenia is shifting its strategic  focus toward enhancing brand recognition alongside maintaining product quality as stated by Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg  Papoyan to on May 21 on the sidelines of the international competition.  

ArmInfo. Between January and May 2026, Armenia experienced a 53% surge in wine exports, as stated by Arman Khojoyan, Armenia's Deputy Minister of Economy, in an interview with an ArmInfo correspondent on the sidelines of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles international wine competition.

In the Armenian insurance market, the loss ratio for OSAGO insurance, after declining throughout 2025 from 81.8% to 76.3%, has begun to rise since 2026, reaching 78.2% for January-April (versus 76.1% for the same period in 2025). This is evidenced by data from the Bureau of Motor Insurers of  Armenia.

ArmInfo.  The ExIm information platform has been launched in Armenia. It is designed for individuals engaged in foreign economic activity: importers, exporters, transit operators, as well as individuals conducting transactions for business or personal purposes. This was announced in a statement by  the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Armenian authorities want to modernize the tools of the Productivity Enhancement Target Program. At a meeting on May 21, the RA government amended its decision of March 26, 2020.

ArmInfo. The groundbreaking ceremony for Integral Solutions' new technology center, which will focus on semiconductor and microelectronic design, took place in Engineering City. 

ArmInfo.  At its meeting on May 21, the RA Government approved the agreement "On cooperation between CIS countries in the development of heavy engineering industries."

ArmInfo.  More favorable conditions will be created in Armenia for beneficiaries interested in developing livestock farming. At its May 21 meeting, the RA government amended the livestock development program for 2025-2029.

ArmInfo. Around 115,000 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises operate in Armenia, expanding their businesses and creating jobs due to access to financing. ArmInfo.  The authorized capital of Construction of a New Nuclear Power Unit CJSC will be increased by 200 million drams. The decision to this effect was made at a meeting of the RA government on May 21.

ArmInfo. The RA government has decided to temporarily ban the export of whitefish caviar for six months. This decision was made at a Cabinet meeting on May 21.

ArmInfo. A meeting was held within the framework of the Public Council, chaired by State Revenue Committee Chairman Eduard Hakobyan. The purpose of the meeting was to facilitate a dialogue between the state and society to discuss the potential for new reforms proposed in the tax sphere and current  issues related to the implementation of the legislative amendments. Members of the Public Council and heads of the SRC's structural divisions participated in the meeting.

ArmInfo. The "Armenia Organic" logo will become the primary symbol for the certification and labeling of Armenian organic products. At its May 21 meeting, the Armenian government amended its May 26, 2009, resolution "On the procedure for issuing a certificate of conformity in the field of  organic farming and on the approval of the forms of the conformity  mark and certificate of conformity for organic agricultural  products."

ArmInfo. Rosselkhoznadzor will impose temporary restrictions on the import of flower products originating and shipped from Armenia starting May 22, 2026, until the inspection of greenhouses is completed and the results are analyzed. According to a statement on the Rosselkhoznadzor website, the  decision was made to protect Russia's phytosanitary safety and export  potential.

At present, more companies either hold or are in the process of obtaining government licences to export weaponry—and toward a greater number of countries—than previously declared, as stated by Armenia's Minister  of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, during a press conference on 20 May.
