Armenia-BRICS Business Cooperation Center officially launched in Yerevan

ArmInfo. The Armenia-BRICS  Business Cooperation Center has officially started its activities in  Yerevan. The launch of the Center was announced on August 8, during  the international forum "New Horizons of Cooperation between Armenia  and the EAEU with BRICS and the SCO".

Factoring to facilitate access of SMEs to funds in Armenia

WB to provide EUR 92.3mln to Armenia to cover budget deficit

ArmInfo. The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, a member of the World Bank Group, will provide Armenia with a loan of 92.3 million euros, with another $16 million in grant money provided by the Global Concessional Financing Facility (GCFF).  The draft law "On ratification of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the IBRD" was approved at a Cabinet meeting on August 8.

French Development Agency to issue EUR 75mln loan to Armenia for budget support programme

External factors only hope or Armenia`s shoestring budget

ArmInfo. The current government is proud of the tax overfulfillment in Armenia over the past two years.  However, already at the end of the first quarter of 2024, the authorities, albeit in a low voice, began to talk about the possible underfulfillment of the target state budget indicator, and by the end of June they officially announced that tax arrears had reached approximately 9%.

Supplies of Russian liquefied gas to Armenia increased significantly in 2023, while natural gas supplies decreased moderately

ArmInfo. In 202, Armenia reduced its natural gas imports by 8.1% to 2,725,280.3 cubic meters, with a 6.7% decrease in customs value to $470.1 million. According to data from the RA Customs Service, Armenia traditionally imports natural gas from Russia and Iran. 

Armenia reduced its exports of copper ore and zinc concentrate, while increasing supplies of molybdenum concentrate

ArmInfo. In 2023 Armenia reduced its copper ore exports by 20.4%, amounting to 326.7 thousand tons compared to 4.4% decline in 2022.The customs value of copper ore also decreased by 27.1%, totaling to $483.1 million. 

TARAZfest festival to take place in Yerevan
