ArmInfo.  Yesterday, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Oksana Abrahamyan received a delegation from the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Estonian Center for International Development (ESTDEV). The delegation was headed by Director of the Development Cooperation  Department of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ingrid Kressel and Director of Digitalization of ESTDEV Andres Arema. ArmInfo.  A nearly $500 million investment project to be implemented in Armenia was officially presented today at Viva Technology, Europe’s largest startup and tech conference. The Government of the Republic of Armenia, NVIDIA, Firebird, and Team Group will collaborate to build the region’s most powerful Supercomputing Hub and data processing center, powered by artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.

ArmInfo. Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC),  received Ruslan Davydov, Minister for Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission  (EEC). According to the SRC press service, the meeting focused on the current cooperation in customs regulation within the EAEU and the potential for its development. The parties discussed the implementation of several planned initiatives, including improvements to the existing legal framework.

ArmInfo. In 2024, Armenia exported  144,540 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, an increase of 8.4% from 2023. Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Arman Khojoyan, who oversees the agricultural sector, announced this while addressing questions from parliament members.

ArmInfo. Since April 2025, Armenian exporters of alcoholic beverages have completed 557 customs declarations. Of these, 391, or 70% have been  accepted by the destination country's customs  for clearance. ArmInfo.As of today, hail has damaged 8.7 thousand hectares of agricultural land. This was reported  in Parliament on June 11 by Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia in charge of agriculture Arman Khojoyan.

ArmInfo.Five small reservoirs are planned to be built in Armenia.  This was stated by the Minister  of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia David Khudatyan during the discussions in the country's parliament on the implementation of the 2024 state budget on June 11.

ArmInfo. In January-April 2025, 9,729 children were born in Armenia, which is 7.3% lower than the same period last year. The birth rate per 1,000 inhabitants for the reporting period was 9.6 per mille, compared to 10.5 per mille a year earlier. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo. On June 10, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Rafael Mariano  Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The meeting took place on the sidelines of the third UN Ocean Conference in Nice.

ArmInfo. Due to the recent accumulation of freight carriers at Georgian checkpoints, the   Armenian Customs Service has announced a temporary ban on Armenian  trucks crossing the Armenian-Georgian border, as noted in a statement  from the State Revenue Committee (SRC).  According to the source, the  measure, which is being implemented to support business entities, is  only temporary and will remain in place until the capacity issue  on  the Georgian side is resolved.

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of  Armenia has been tasked with creating a regulatory framework for the  crypto assets sphere within a 1.5 year buffer period, as stated by  the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, Martin  Galstyan, during a press conference on June 10.  He clarified that  the relevant by-laws will be developed during this period: "The  by-law framework will specify the types of companies/organizations,  types of licenses, amounts,  and more."
