ArmInfo.Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Plant (ZCMP) continues to rank at the top list of 1000  large taxpayers in Armenia, maintaining its leadership from January to September 2024, as it did in the previous year. This is evidenced by data from the State Revenue Committee.

The planned 5.6% GDP growth for 2025, as stated by RA Finance Minister Vahe  Hovhannisyan  to reporters  on October 28th, is a very high figure,.  He recalled that according to the RA government program for 2021-2026, they plan to achieve up to 7% economic growth annually  under favorable conditions. However, the proposed figure for next year is very ambitious. The minister noted that GDP growth rates much higher than 7% were ensured for 2022-2023. As a result, an average economic growth rate of 7% is maintained over the years.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, economic activity growth slowed down to 8.7% per annum in January-September 2024 (from 9.7% in the same period of 2023). Unlike last year, the industrial sector has become one of the growth drivers. According to preliminary data from the RA Statistical Committee, this is  accompanied by continued high growth rates of exports and imports.   Despite the fact that the preliminary statistical report does not  provide more detailed information, it is evident that the high growth  in industrial production no longer coming from the jewelry industry.  It previously showed several-fold growth, but now is experiencing a  double-digit decline, as seen in the data from previous months.

ArmInfo.The U.S. Development International Finance Corporation (DFC) today announced a commitment for a $50 million loan to ACBA Bank aimed at expanding financing for small businesses in Armenia, fostering economic growth and empowering entrepreneurship. According to the US Embassy in  Armenia, the Bank will direct at least 50% of the DFC funds to  finance women-owned and women-led businesses, aiming to create more  inclusive economic opportunities.
