ArmInfo.On February 13, the Government of Armenia approved the draft decree of the President of  the Republic of Armenia <On approval of the financing agreement between the Republic of Armenia, Romania and the European Commission <Interreg NEXT Program for the Black Sea Basin> with a total budget  of 72 million 275 thousand euros.

ArmInfo.Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan assures that there is no country in the world that implements both turnover tax and value added tax  simultaneously. He stated this on February 12 during the government hour in parliament, while trying to justify the government policy to raise the turnover tax rate.

ArmInfo.  Telecommunications operator Viva Armenia has announced issuance of its first nominal, coupon paying, dollar -denominated bonds with a total face value of $80 million, with Ameriabank acting as the underwriter for these bonds. This was noted in the message of Viva Armenia CJSC, which  states that the c placement of the bonds will begin on 12 February  2025  and will be completed on June 23.

ArmInfo. Constructing small modular power plants in Armenia as a replacement for the current Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) is impractical in terms of ensuring national security. This opinion was expressed by Artur Avetisyan, the Director of the research and analytical center "Energy  Initiative of Armenia" and a PhD associate professor, during the  online discussion <"Atomic"Dilemma of Armenia: Building a New NPP -  With and Without Russia>, organized on the expert platform of the  Analytical Center for Strategic Studies and Initiatives (ACSII).

ArmInfo.Administrative liability for late submission of financial statements will be increased in Armenia. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia at a plenary session on February 12 approved amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses submitted by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  According to the results of 2024, the secondary real estate market was more passive, both in terms of transactions and in value terms, compared to 2022 and 2023. This was noted in an interview with an ArmInfo correspondent by the founding member of the Council of the Association of Real Estate Agencies of Armenia, director of the real estate agency "Kolibri" Rustam Grigoryan. At the same time, he noted  that the primary market of Yerevan maintained its pace in 2024 thanks to the mechanism for the return of income tax on mortgage loans. From this year, the latter will be available only in the regions of the country.

ArmInfo. In 2024, Armenia saw a  0.8% annual increase in exports of high-tech products,  reaching a total of $979 million. This is evidenced by data from the Modex consulting company. In particular, high-tech goods made up 7.5% of Armenia's merchandise exports in 2024, down from 11.4% the  previous year.  Comparing to 2021, exports have increased by 19 times, driven mainly by the re-export of electronics and telecommunications equipment.

This was announced on February 11 from the rostrum of the National Assembly of the Republic  of Armenia by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs David  Khachatryan.
