Armenia's gross international reserves (GIR) increased by 41.2% year-on-year or $1.618 billion in April 2026, setting a new record of $5.544 billion, while in the same period of 2025 the growth was more modest, by 18.8% or $622.2 million, to $3.926 billion. In March alone, GIR increased slightly, by 0.4% (or $22.9 million), against a double-digit growth of 16.5% (or $554.7 million) a year earlier in the same month.
