ArmInfo.The World Bank (WB) has launched the first phase of the Water and Irrigation Services  Enhancement (WISE) program in Armenia in rural areas with limited access to services.

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia spent about 307 billion drams on the implementation of 21 programs and 138 events in 2024.  This was stated by the deputy head of the department Kristine Galechyan on June 16 at a meeting of the standing committee on economic issues, presenting a report on the execution of the state budget for the past year.

As a result of these programs, we can record that the economy of the republic has achieved almost 6% real growth (5.9%, with 7% budgeted for by the state budget - ed.).

ArmInfo. In the Armenian insurance market, the loss ratio for OSAGO has begun to decrease since 2025, amounting to 73.2% in January-May compared to 79.7% the previous year. as evidenced by data from the Bureau of Motor Insurers of Armenia.

ArmInfo. In the Armenian interbank foreign exchange market from June 9 to June 13, 2025, dollar transactions continued to decline, while ruble transactions increased. Euro transactions were not conducted for the second week in a row. Specifically, the weekly trend for ruble transactions shifted from an 88.4% decline to a 7.1% growth, while dollar transactions continued to decline at a faster pace from 8% to 60%. As a result, ruble transactions once again surpassed dollar transactions  by 2 times, whereas the previous week, dollar transactions had been leading by 1.4 times. In the interbank foreign exchange market during the reporting week (09-13.06.25 compared to 02-06.06.25) the trend for buying and selling dollars continued to rise, while the trend for buying and selling euros decreased. Ruble transactions saw a decline  with a noticeable decrease in rates.

ArmInfo.In 2024, the financial authorities of Armenia successfully managed to maintain and even  reduce the public debt to GDP ratio, strengthen fiscal sustainability and ensure a stable level of revenue. Simultaneously, a decrease in the tax-to-GDP ratio was recorded, as stated by the head of the RA Ministry of Finance, Vahe Hovhannisyan, on June 13 at a meeting of the parliamentary standing committee  on financial, credit and budgetary affairs,  while presenting a report on the execution of the 2024 state budget.

ArmInfo.Armenia will receive a EUR 236 million loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) under the  Sustainable and Inclusive Road Sector Improvement Project for the construction of the 27.12 km northern section of the Sisian-Kajaran road. The relevant loan agreement received a positive conclusion from the parliamentary committee on financial and credit issues on June 13 and was included in the agenda of the NA plenary session.

ArmInfo.  ArmSwissbank plans to carry out the initial public placement of the next two issues of dram registered coupon bonds in the amount of 7 billion drams on June 16. This is noted in the Bank's statement, which indicates that the initial placement is planned to be completed by September 30 of this  year. A total of 140,000 bonds will be issued within both dram  tranches, each with a par value of 50,000 drams.

ArmInfo. Idram and IDBank will allocate 4,991,788 AMD through "The Power of One Dram" initiative to support the annual "Hayordi" camp, which will host around 300 children of deceased Armenian servicemen.

ArmInfo.  Next year, Armenia will host the prestigious international wine competition Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB). This announcement was made in Yinchuan, China, where CMB -2025 took place. The event was attended by the  Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, and the head of the Vine and Wine Foundation (VWFA), Zaruhi Muradyan. In 2026, over 400 guests from various countries of the world will come to Armenia, including wine experts, sommeliers, buyers, importers, journalists, bloggers, teachers, etc.
