ArmInfo. In Armenia, annual inflation accelerated to 5.1% in June 2026, up from 3.9% a year ago. This was driven by a more pronounced increase in food prices - 8.5%
(compared to 6.2% last year), a less noticeable increase in services
- 2.4% (compared to 3.5% last year). At the same time, non-food
prices increased by 2.3% (compared to a 0.2% decrease the previous
year). This is according to data from the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo. The net inflow of private transfers to Armenia in January-May 2026 showed a significant annual increase of 2.4 times (from a 41.4% decline a year ago), reaching $1.1 billion. A similar, albeit relatively moderate, reversal in annual dynamics was also recorded for the net inflow of non-commercial transfers - from a 48.8% decline to a 48% increase. The share of non- commercial transfers in the total net inflow decreased over the year from 46% to 28% (compared to 52% two years ago). This is evidenced by data from the Central Bank of Armenia.

According to data from the Central Bank of Armenia, the country's Gross International Reserves (GIR) continue to demonstrate strong growth, reaching a record high of $5.863 billion as of June 2026, while the growth recorded during the same period in 2025 was more modest, at 21.1% ($678.8 million), bringing the reserves to $3.897 billion at that time. In May alone, GIR increased slightly - by 2.4% (or $138.9 million), against a decline of 0.5% (or $18.9 million) a year earlier in the same month. Over the 5 months of this year, GIR increased by 15.3% (or $776.3 million), while a more modest growth of 5.7% (or $211.4 million) was recorded a year ago for the same period.
