Experts from Sargent and Lundy are visiting Yerevan May 19-22 to provide continued technical assistance on Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology through the U.S. State Department's Foundational Infrastructure for Responsible Use of Small Modular Reactor Technology (FIRST) program. Sargent and Lundy, working with Armenian officials, completed a pre-feasibility study to assess the  viability of replacing the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) unit  with advanced U.S. SMR technology.

In the Armenian insurance market, the loss ratio for OSAGO insurance, after declining throughout 2025 from 81.8% to 76.3%, has begun to rise since 2026, reaching 78.2% for January-April (versus 76.1% for the same period in 2025). This is evidenced by data from the Bureau of Motor Insurers of  Armenia.

ArmInfo.  The ExIm information platform has been launched in Armenia. It is designed for individuals engaged in foreign economic activity: importers, exporters, transit operators, as well as individuals conducting transactions for business or personal purposes. This was announced in a statement by  the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Armenian authorities want to modernize the tools of the Productivity Enhancement Target Program. At a meeting on May 21, the RA government amended its decision of March 26, 2020.

The purpose of the meeting was to facilitate a dialogue between the state and society to discuss the potential for new reforms proposed in the tax sphere and current  issues related to the implementation of the legislative amendments. Members of the Public Council and heads of the SRC's structural divisions participated in the meeting.
