ArmInfo. Armenia is extending the VAT-free import exemption for electric vehicles, but this exemption will only apply to vehicles manufactured after December 31, 2023. This was announced on December 2 from the rostrum of the National Assembly by Economy Minister Gevork Papoyan, who presented the amendments to the Tax Code in the first reading.

As part of the World Bank's Tourism and Regional Infrastructure Improvement Program (TRIP) in Vayots Dzor, planned investments will be directed toward road rehabilitation, development of spa and resort tourism, wine and agrotourism, HoReCa (hotel and catering) training, and improvement of museum, adventure, and cultural infrastructure. This was announced following a meeting between Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan and the head of the Tourism Committee, Lusine Gevorgyan, with representatives of Vayots Dzor's regional and local authorities (Yeghegnadzor, Areni, Jermuk), as well as representatives of the tourism industry.
