ArmInfo. Ardshinbank is the largest taxpayer in Armenia in terms of direct tax payments according to the State Revenue Committee’s results for the first half of 2025. In the first half of 2025, the bank transferred 27.27 billion AMD to the state budget in direct taxes. This figure was made possible thanks to a significant increase in profit tax and income tax.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, in the first half of 2025, the service sector saw an acceleration in its annual growth rate from 4.4% to 9.8%, reaching 1.8 trillion drams ($4.6 billion).  According to data from of the RA Statistics Committee, in June alone, the volume of services provided increased by 1.3%, totaling 322.8 billion drams ($840.2 million). The increase in the growth rate was mainly driven by  improvements in the leading information and communication and real estate sectors, as well as the maintenance of growth several areas since previous year.

ArmInfo. The top-5 countries in foreign trade with Armenia are Russia, China, UAE, Iran and Germany, with a total volume of $6.3 billion, four of these countries reduced their volumes in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024 - Russia by 54.8%, China by 15%, UAE by 69.4%, and Germany by 3.3%. This is despite the fact that a year ago the Russian Federation, China and UAE demonstrated significant growth, while Germany was experiencing a more pronounced decline.

ArmInfo.  In the first half of 2025, Armenia's  trade sector revenue slowed in annual growth from 22.9% to 3.9%, exceeding 2.9 trillion drams ($7.5 billion).   According to data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of  Armenia, trade turnover in Armenia increased by 6.2%  in June of this  year, totaling 549.3 billion drams ($1.4 billion).

ArmInfo.  The volume of cargo transportation in Armenia in the first half of 2025 amounted to 7,580.1 thousand tons, with an annual growth of 1.9% (against a 16.8% decline a year earlier). This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee. The growth in the total volume of cargo  transportation is due to the improvement in the dynamics of rail  freight transportation - from a 57.9% decline to a 27.6% growth, with  a volume of 735.9 thousand tons, as well as the continued growth of  air cargo transportation - by 8.7% (against 13.8% growth a year  earlier), with a volume of 18.8 thousand tons. An increase in volumes  was also recorded in the supply of natural gas via the main pipeline  - by 1.7% (against a decline of 8.2% the previous year) to 989.5  thousand tons.

ArmInfo. According to the results of the first half of 2025, the production volumes of all alcoholic beverages in Armenia decreased, with the exception of vodka, liqueur (and other strong alcoholic beverages) and beer. This  is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, electricity generation in the first half of 2025 accelerated in annual growth from 1.9% to 4%, amounting to 4,694.7 million kWh. Moreover, in June alone, electricity generation increased by 8.4% -  to 701.8 million kWh. ArmInfo. The metallurgical industry of Armenia, based on the results of the first half of 2025, reversed in annual dynamics from 8% growth to 8% decline. According to the data of the RA Statistical Committee, such dynamics were  provoked mainly by the reduction in the production of copper and  molybdenum concentrates.

ArmInfo.  The industrial sector of Armenia, which was one of the drivers of economic growth a year ago, fell by 12.1% in the first half of 2025 (against 18.2% growth a year earlier), providing a volume of 1.2 trillion drams ($3.2  billion). According to the data of the RA Statistical Committee, in  June alone, the industrial sector grew by 2.5% - to 227 billion drams  ($590.5 million).

This growth can be attributed to the construction  sector, services and tourism.  Armen Nurbekyan, Deputy Chairman of  the Central Bank of Armenia, made this statement during a press  conference on August 5, while responding to a question  about whether  the growth in external demand was solely due to tourism or if there  were other contributing factors.

ArmInfo. The single operator of  Armenia's water supply and sanitation system Veolia Djur, along with  the Water Committee, will be making investments totaling around 11  billion drams, the press service of the Public Services Regulatory  Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia reports.
